Isaac plans to study chemistry and military science in college, and aspires to be an Army doctor in the future. He credits his NYLF NS experience for giving him a bigger appreciation for the National Security system. In his hometown of Clinton, MN, Isaac enjoys track, basketball, and serving as a National Guardsmen.

What is the most memorable moment of your program experience?

I had a lot of memorable moments at NYLF National Security, but I have to say the whole national crisis simulation is the most memorable. I remember the way my team worked as one.
How has the program encouraged you to take action in your school or community?

It encouraged me to make a final decision I was already thinking about…I joined the Minnesota National Guard.
What inspires you as a young leader?

As a young leader I am inspired by having a problem thrown my way and having to solve it as quick as possible.
How was attending the program different than learning in a traditional classroom?

The difference is at NYLF National Security there was more hands on learning and you have alternative ways to learn things.
How has your program experience helped you focus on a career path?

In addition, to encouraging me to join the Minnesota National Guard, my experience helped me make the decision to go through an ROTC program.
