About National Youth Leadership Forum: Engineering
Ideate. Innovate. Demonstrate.
NYLF Engineering is a fantastic foray into the world of engineering and the many careers available in this dynamic field.
At this eight-day program, you will learn why the core principles of engineering and problem solving are critical to innovation and success in the 21st century. You will receive invaluable information from industry experts and experience engineering careers through site visits, lab tours, and simulations, all of which will help you make informed choices about your future.
Applying your engineering skills and creativity, you will work to solve real-world problems during the program-long Capstone Impact Challenge, which was designed in collaboration with Dr. David Dinehart, a Professor and Former Chairman of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Villanova University.
At NYLF Engineering, you will not only gain hands-on experience and enjoy life on the campus of a top-ranked engineering school, but you will also be surrounded by other highly motivated students who share your passion. You will form lifelong friendships while strengthening the time management, information analysis, public speaking, critical thinking, and problem solving skills that are critical for success in college and beyond.
Most importantly, you will leave the program with a clearer vision of your future career path and how to achieve your goals.
Please note: We are currently evaluating all aspects of NYLF Engineering and may make changes to the curriculum or site visits to ensure that the program meets the most up-to-date health and safety standards.
The National Association of Secondary School Principals has placed this program on the 2020-2021 NASSP List of Approved Contests, Programs, and Activities for Students.
