Nicole Stott

2019 Keynote Speaker, NYLF Explore STEM

Nicole Stott is a former NASA astronaut. She has flown missions aboard both the Space Shuttle and International Space Station (ISS), logging 104 days over two flights. She has performed a spacewalk, and was the first astronaut to use the robotic arm to capture and berth the HTV cargo vehicle to ISS. Complimenting her work as an engineer and astronaut, Nicole is also an artist and was the first astronaut to paint in space 

Prior to being selected as an astronaut, Stott worked as a NASA engineer at both the Kennedy Space Center and the Johnson Space Center on the Space Shuttle Program.
