About the Presidential Inauguration Alumni Program

About the Presidential Inauguration Alumni Program

The Presidential Inauguration Alumni Program is a non-partisan event that was specifically designed to provide Envision alumni with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness history by joining people from all over the country and world in Washington, D.C. for the commencement of a new presidential term.

Centered around the pomp and circumstance of the Presidential Inauguration, this alumni-only program takes place just once every four years, making it one of the more coveted programs Envision offers. The 2021 Presidential Inauguration Alumni Program will mark the tenth time that Envision hosts students for this incredible event. Since 1985, scholars have traveled to America’s capital for the inaugurations of six U.S. Presidents: Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, William Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan.

The Presidential Inauguration Alumni Program is unlike any other Envision program, as the city and Inauguration Day serve as the core of the educational experience. During your time in Washington, D.C., you will also be inspired by speakers who have followed their passions and positively impacted the world, visit historic sites in and around the city, celebrate the Inauguration with nightly social events, and form lasting friendships with fellow alumni.

With a history that dates back to 1789, the Presidential Inauguration is an event that is ingrained in the fabric of America and one that you must experience to fully understand its magnitude. Like the many scholars who attended the program before you, you will leave the Presidential Inauguration Alumni Program with a better understanding of the country’s past and present and a commitment to play a role in its future.
