When you attend an Envision by WorldStrides program* near New York City, you have the opportunity to spend an additional five days experiencing The Big Apple’s historical and cultural sites during WorldExplore: New York City. This optional extension immediately follows the conclusion of your program. You'll sample the local culture while exploring New York City’s most historic sites and famous museums.

Tour the city’s museums

Spend your morning exploring the various exhibits, wings, halls, and galleries at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), the Museum of Natural History, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

Set sail for Ellis Island

All Aboard! Go for a cruise around the islands in the morning, spotting Lady Liberty on her perch and infamous Ellis Island as well as getting a seabird’s eye view of lower Manhattan.

Explore the neighborhoods of The Big Apple

From downtown to uptown, explore the sights and sounds of neighborhoods, including Wall Street, Chinatown, Little Italy, Greenwich Village, and the Upper West Side.

Take in dinner and a show

Enjoy dinner amongst the lights of Times Square before heading to see one of the hottest shows on Broadway.
