Step into the courtroom and crime lab, where you'll participate in Supreme Court simulations, investigate crime scenes using real forensic techniques, and explore legal and forensic science careers while learning from attorneys, judges, and criminal investigators.
Let's connect
Your Gateway to Legal and Forensic Excellence
Picture yourself presenting arguments before Supreme Court justices, analyzing fingerprints and DNA evidence in a forensic lab, and cross-examining witnesses in a packed courtroom. Imagine working alongside FBI criminal profilers, learning from prosecutors who've tried high-profile cases, and discovering how science and law work together to seek justice. At the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Law & CSI, your journey from curious student to future legal or forensic professional begins here.
This immersive, hands-on program takes place at Georgetown University and Emory University, where you'll experience both sides of the criminal justice system through real-world simulations and professional mentorship. You'll participate in Supreme Court case recreations, conduct crime scene investigations using actual forensic techniques, and engage in mock trials that mirror real courtroom proceedings. Working with legal professionals, and forensic scientists, you'll analyze evidence, build cases, and understand the ethical responsibilities that come with seeking justice.
In the evenings, you'll connect with fellow future legal minds, reflect on complex ethical scenarios, and prepare for the next day's challenges. Whether it's analyzing blood spatter patterns or crafting opening statements, this program is as much about building your expertise in criminal justice as it is about building lasting friendships with peers who share your passion for justice.
This program prepares you for careers in criminal justice—from defense attorney to investigator —while building the critical thinking and professional skills you'll need to succeed.

Why Students Choose NYLF Law & CSI
Argue Your Case Before "Supreme Court Justices"
Ever wondered what it's like to argue constitutional law? You'll recreate an actual Supreme Court case about Fourth Amendment privacy rights and cell phone records, roleplaying as both justices and attorneys while preparing real briefs and oral arguments that teach you the difference between appellate and factual arguments.

Be the CSI Team (For Real This Time)
Forget what you've seen on TV—you'll work as an actual forensic investigation team analyzing simulated crime scenes using the same techniques real professionals use. We're talking fingerprint analysis, hair fiber examination, blood spatter patterns, and criminal profiling just like FBI investigators do every day.

Take It All the Way to Trial
You'll experience the complete journey from crime scene to courtroom through our signature mock trial, where you'll document evidence, craft legal arguments, examine witnesses, and present your case in a realistic courtroom setting that feels just like the real thing.
