At Envision by WorldStrides, we provide hands-on educational experiences to foster critical thinking and innovation—even when we can’t be together in person! Our Family Labs are at-home experiential learning activities that promote new ways of learning.
Welcome to the Envision Family Lab: Defining Leadership. Developing leadership skills is crucial to both your child’s academic and future career success. This lab will prepare them to take charge of their leadership learning with goal setting, personal reflection, and a look at great leaders from history.
Please note: This lab was specifically designed for middle school students in grades 6-8. However, it can be enjoyed by students who are older or younger.
Throughout the lesson, your child will learn about impactful leaders of the past and present. They'll then be challenged to apply those role models’ teachings to their leadership development. As a leader, your child will need to have a keen understanding of their own strengths and the things that are important to them. The profiles and guided reflections in this lab will give them the tools they need to become a successful leader and communicator.
The final project will allow your child to express their creativity and new knowledge as they seek to define leadership for themselves. Do they want to make a TikTok or write poetry? Are they interested in filmmaking or vlogging? Your child has the freedom to explore a variety of platforms and media as they complete their project and self-reflection.
