Amanda Whitener, M.S.

Program Manager of STEM Programs

Amanda M. Whitener is the Program Manager of STEM Programs at Envision. In her role, she develops immersive programs for students who want to make the most of school work, college studies and careers in the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and medicine.

Whitener also works with universities and other organizations to develop cutting-edge content and find leading experts for Envision’s STEM programs, including the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Explore STEM, NYLF MedicineNYLF Engineering & Technology and NYLF Advanced Medicine. Prior to joining Envision, Amanda served as Director of Visitor and School Engagement at Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, OH.

She holds an M.S. in Biological Sciences from Illinois State University, where her graduate work included conservation biology, plant identification, plant and restoration ecology, geographic information systems, and biostatistics. Whitener also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Lake Erie College in Painesville, OH.
