Where do you go to find great information about the STEM fields of engineering and science? Here are some of my favorite resources for aspiring (and grown up) scientists and engineers:
ENGINEERING.com
Visit this site to hear from a variety of resources on what’s happening in the field. Check out the videos, articles and engineering games. High school students will also appreciate the directory of universities with engineering programs. @ENGINEERINGcom
WolframAlpha
This computational knowledge engine blows my mind every time I use it. Ask it information about anything from molecular formulas to star charts and it presents you the information in a useful, readable way. Not only is this a great resource for SAT/ACT/AP prep, it is also just plain fun. @Wolfram_Alpha and @WolframFunFacts
Society for Science & the Public
The Society for Science and the Public presents top scientific research in a conversational manner. The website also showcases top students and sponsored activities. @Society4Science
DiscoverE
DiscoverE, formerly the National Engineers Week Foundation, is a rich repository of facts about engineering, including local event announcements and resources for better understanding your career options in the engineering field. @DiscoverEorg
Electrical Engineering Schools
This is the place to discover more about the field of electrical engineering. Search electrical engineering schools, job descriptions, blogs and networks. @ElecEngineering
