Take part in hands-on simulations in The George Washington University’s state-of-the-art medical labs and experience your future career firsthand. Some of the simulations you will experience are:

  • Trauma and Emergencies: A victim is suffering from a stab wound – work beside paramedics to provide immediate care to a simulated trauma patient
  • Intubation 101: A man stumbles into the ER with a blocked airway – get hands-on experience managing an emergency
  • Infection Control: What’s the best way to stop an outbreak? – scrub up and get to work saving the world
  • Birthing and Midwifery: Your patient is going into labor – work with a high-fidelity birthing simulator to experience the process of delivering a baby
  • Physical Exam: Nursing 101 – get hands-on as you complete a bedside assessment on a simulated hospital patient
  • Health Promotion: Keep yourself and your clients healthy – learn about BMI as well as how great a difference nutrition and exercise can make in prolonging a person’s life
